Crocheting Up a Storm..
>> Wednesday, January 26, 2011
Picture this:
The yarn flying, my crochet needle clicking.
I've been crocheting up a storm.
This is actually my first attempt at the ripple pattern. Intended to be gifted to my husband, and excited about what it was about to become, I gifted it to him for Christmas. At the time, it was barely big enough to serve as a scarf. It's been 10 years since that Christmas.....but I finally finished it.
Not knowing what to do with myself once the blanket was finished {despite my ever growing stack of books -on every end table and nighstand}, I decided I needed a scarf. Something to keep me warm on our next adventure.
*I've been under a lot of stress lately, and I've discovered that crocheting it therapeutic. I get to counting stitches and by the time I come up for air, whatever it was that was bothering me....well, it's often times melted away.
