A Time, A Season

Blogs that were once explosive with daily posts and activity have slowed down and become all but completely dormant.
I can't help but wonder why.
Has the blogging world changed? Has the season of the 'average' or 'mommy' blogger come to an end?
Even my own blog has slowed down, become dormant {for spaces of time} and changed.
What do you think? Have you noticed the changes? Is blogging losing it's appeal?

I have notice too! I just think warmer weather is here and people are getting out after being stuck inside all winter!
I hope that is it!
I think that people become burned out after time. I find taking a bloggy break is always a good thing to get the juices flowing again.
Something happened last summer and never picked up. I was thinking about the group of us that found each other from SSB (Jillene, Jo, Christa, etc.), and you and I are really the only regular Bloggers anymore. And I'm only down to once a week, if that. I think people just get burned out.
I've slowed down myself with my blogging. I don't know why. Sometimes I just feel like I have nothing worthwhile to blog about.
They say the average life span of a blog is 6 months. People start, get really excited and get so caught up that they burn out. I hate seeing people drop off though, but they sure do.
A lot of my favorites don't post as much anymore. Life gets in the way. I still find the time. It's my favorite outlet. Will things change? It's very possible.
I slowed down when life was not cheery and I couldn't blog about it. What else do you type when you are weighed down with worry? But now, things are looking better and I'm trying to get back to regular posting. That's one of the big reasons why I started up my FHE posts again.
I know what you mean. When I think about my blogging community of friends a year ago and two years ago, it's become so much different. People stop blogging, go private, post only occasionally, disappear, etc. For me it ebbs and flows. I didn't blog for months last year because I had a baby but ever since we moved last summer I got a lot more into it again. It will be interesting to see what the future brings with blogs.
