Abandoned: Random Style

>>  Sunday, January 9, 2011

With the holidays, illness, and just being B.U.S.Y., my poor blog has been abandoned. I hope to get my groove back...soon! Now pardon me, while I dust off some of the cob-webs and throw some things out, randomly.

I recently read an excellent book. I plan on posting a review soon. The next book in line is book #1 of the Mortal Instruments series {I'm excited about this read}.

*******

I am working on my 5th crochet project. My hubby might get that blanket I started 10 years ago after-all.

*******

I'm expecting a very important {and much anticipated} phone call tomorrow. I sure hope that phone rings. My patience is running thin. No, scratch that, I have no patience left.

*******

We have experienced every strain of cold {known to mankind}, Strep throat and the Flu in my house. Everyone appears to be healthy {now}, I sure hope I can keep it that way.

*******

I don't typically make resolutions at the beginning of a new year. I did however, this year, set a goal {if you will}. That goal? To de-clutter and simplify.

I began by eliminating all the extra gadgets, knick-knacks, semifores and dooey-bops in my life {semifores and dooey-bops=misc things/stuff -all those little things decorating my house}.

So far, so good. I started by ridding my kitchen, dining room, and living room of anything 'extra.

I highly recommend this way of living. There is that much less to dust, put away and/or worry about. I sit down on the couch and am not over-whelmed by too much stuff. It's very cleansing.

Post-Edit: I am still waiting for that phone call. It never came.....*sigh*. Maybe today (Tuesday)? One could hope!

Post-Post-Edit: Tuesday came and went, the phone remained silent! *sigh*. I give...

De-cluttering is a great idea. It's the one thing I like about living in a small place with no basement or attic.

Deciding to list our condo was what finally spurred me into action to organize and declutter. It's been great!

Oh don't we all need to simplify and declutter! I think that is a very wise goal to set for this new year! I did much decluttering in the fall and it felt wonderful! I've got plenty more to do. Sorry to hear you guys have been through so much illness! No fun whatsoever. That's a lot to deal with. Take care. Yak at'cha later.

You really have been busy and decluttering makes you feel sooooo good! But come back regularly soon!

I'm sorry your family has been so sick! I really hope your entire household stays well for the rest of the winter!

De-cluttering always makes me feel better.

What phone call are you waiting for?

How are you doing? Know that I am thinking about you.

I crave organization in my home, however, the other members of my family don't seem to feel the same way.
Apparently, it's easier to find all of your shoes if they are always under the kitchen table.

Luckily, I have to "simplify" everything since we're starting out with our first apartment. Hopefully I can keep the clutter out!

Missed reading your blog. Hopefully I can get caught up!
