My Reflection in the Mirror
>> Wednesday, March 10, 2010
As I walked past my reflection yesterday, I was stopped in my tracks. I stopped, just outside my reflections view. Stepping back to look again. To see again, what I thought I saw.
My eyes were not deceiving me -as I took inventory.
Starting from my toes....up
Soft flats adorning my feet -Check
Black dress pants -Check
Patterned top with elastic at the elbows -Check
Manicured nails -Check
A tissue in my pocket -Check
A paperback book in my purse -Check
I recognized the person looking back at me. I haven't seen her in many years. I miss her much. My grandmother that is. It's quite possible I am morphing into something of her likeness. I like it. I wouldn't have it any other way.

That is kind of scary. I'm sure you didn't look like her!!!
this was actually really sweet..
i lost my nana about 2.5 yrs back.. miss her so terribly though i wouldn't mind being like her just a tad..
one day though.. we'll see them all again..
I haven't had a grandmother in a very long time and didn't really know the ones I did have. I envy you.
That's so cool! I think my grandma was an awesome lady too. I'd like it if I looked like her as well!
My reaction would have not been as gracious as yours...I love my grandma, but there's a reason I color my hair! I guess I am just silly and vain...
Now all you need to do is start collecting post-it notes and pens that no one can use. Seriously I can't think of a better woman to be like. I miss her every day.
All I can say is I love you and I miss the librarian-Fatherson
You and your Grandmother sound Wonderful! My Grandma Rose is a role model to me and always will be, even 12 years after her passing.
