A Must See

I was given the chance of a lifetime yesterday. A chance to be spiritually fed in a way I could have never imagined, as I attended a women's conference -sponsored by the Stake I live in.

The speaker? The bigger than life {literally, she's 5'10}, Barbara Barrington Jones.

We laughed, we cried, and then we laughed some more. Truly one of the most incredible speakers -in existence. I poke fun at her being bigger than life {due to her height}, but truly you have no idea. She is, in every sense of the word. Her life story is awe-inspiring, her spiritual strength unmistakable and her messages life changing. As she presents with humor and strength.

Some of the things I absorbed:

Busy= Bent Under Satans Yoke
I'm too busy to get down there and play with my kids. I'm too busy to read my scriptures. I'm too busy to attend that Conference......

"Take your criticisms to the Lord and your Love to your families"

"The first thing -any effective military Commander will do is jam the communication lines of his enemy" Which is exactly what the adversary does. He jams those lines of communication, so that we are cut off from our resources (i.e. The Lord, our loved one, those things are that important to us).

"She who laughs.....Lasts!"

*********************
My accounts of what I know {of her}, do her no justice. Nor does the small amount of what I shared {considering the 5 hours of information I absorbed}. If you ever get a chance to hear her speak, be present for every minute, missing nothing and taking notes.

Sounds like a great conference. I wish my stake did that!

I've heard the phrase "caught up in the thick of thin things." Yeah, that's pretty much me...

I have never heard of her, but this sounded like a really neat conference. We will be having Sheri Dew come in about a month to do a conference for our region...I'm looking forward to it too.

That sounds awesome! Those 'lift ya up and inspire you' sorta conferences do wonders for my psyche. I love those sorta things.

She is an amazing woman. I went to her conference a few years ago and loved every minute of it!
