The Poop Scoop Shimmy

>>  Saturday, July 18, 2009

There is Never (read: NEVER, EVER, EVER) a dull moment in my household. NEVER.

Just recently, I placed the children in their respective bathtubs (what a waste of water, I know. Mother Earth may have to forgive me, it’s easier than having two toddlers fist fight in a pool of water). It didn’t take long before Mr. Mr. Gettie began screaming hysterically and calling “come and get me”.

My little guy was standing with his arms straight out, watching -you guessed it, poop float around his feet. In an effort to avoid the ‘floaters’ he was shimmying back and forth. You could almost hear the jaws music. *Dun-Dun, Dun-Dun*

In my infinite wisdom, I picked him up, hauling him off to the finish taking a bath with his brother in the other bathroom.

Before even setting Mr. Mr.’s feet on the bottom of the tub, he asked for bubbles, which instigated a fist fight (literally). The battle of bubbles or no bubbles.

And it never fails, the phone began to ring. Leaving me with two screaming toddlers, a ringing telephone, and ‘floaters’. You know, there is no dignified way to clean up after a child that poops in the bathtub.

You know I have to laugh at that, very, very hard! :)

Ewwwwwww!
You've got to make a copy of this particular blog post then save it to blackmail said child with when he is a teenager. He's gonna find this incident VERY embarassing and that could be worthwhile to you at a later date. Sometimes blackmail works when all else fails...I'm just thinkin' ahead.

Oh I hate when they poop, there really isn't an easy way of cleaning that up.
My girls fight about bubbles too, shouldn't everyone love bubbles? :)

Aidan is scared of bubbles. Like, when I rinse his hair and the bubbles from the shampoo reach the water, he cries to get out because he hates the bubbles so much.

I'm sorry for the frustration at your house that evening. Let's hope tomorrow is a better day!

Chaos always seems to happen all at once and it can be stressful! Sorry to hear about this. I'm sure one day you'll look back at this and laugh, but for now, hang in there!

Yeah, had that happen...but both kids were in the tub and it was less "floater" and more "brown cloud of death."

Ha ha! This cracks me up! I don't know how mothers of two young ones do it. I'm getting nervous about becoming a mother of two, but my sons will have four years between them so I'm hoping that will make things a little easier.

I hate it when that happens . . . can you imagine if they both pooped in their own tubs at the same time? eeeuuuww!
