The One Where I Explain it All

>>  Friday, July 17, 2009

So...many know, that I work full-time. I wouldn't say I have a typical job. However, I work pretty typical hours. When I am done with my 'day' job, I return home and resume my position at my second full-time job -my official title is Mommee.

Although my secondary employer has no restrictions on internet usage and personal phone calls -barring the boys are fed, watered and clean, My day time employer isn't quite as lax in their ways. Rightfully so.

Considering the fact that they pay me to work and not play..I don't really get a whole lot of say. When they banned all internet usage this week, I can do nothing more than grin and bear it.

The short of it all? I no longer have internet during the day and my evening internet usage is determined by the under 3 feet folk in the house. All of which is going to put a real damper on my blogging days! Ugh!

My sister was presented with a list of websites she had visited in the last week at work; it wasn't pretty.

When ever I meet people who I notice are really great at keeping up on blogs they admit they have little bits of down time, where they can just click around here and there between clients, calls, appointments..whatever.

I can see how this would make it so easy! I have not been able to keep up on my favorite blogs at all this summer!

I'm in the same boat as you. I've been in a temporary office for the past 8 months where they have no restrictions on the internet. Now I am going into our new office which will have restrictions. AND I'm going from part-time to full-time. My blog will suffer!

Oh no, this is stinky. Understandable but stinky!

Bonnie the Boss 19 July, 2009 21:16

Stink, I hate it when that happens!

Oh man. That is such a bummer! I would have gone crazy without internet access when I was working! I hope you'll still be able to find time to fit it all in. I'll miss your Facebook updates during the day :)
