Operation: Be Prepared (Week 4)

Survival List:
Flashing Safety Light or Light Wand
Medicines/Prescriptions marked "For Emergency Use"
Contact Lens Supplies

This Weeks Tasks:
Develop a family disaster plan, including where to meet if separated, name and number of an out-of-area contact, kinds of information to give that contact in an emergency.

Notes From Headquarters:
The Light Wand seemed logical to me, the Flashing Light however, was a new concept. I am going to go with it though. You never know what could come in useful in a time of need. I am on a quest to find unique colored Light Wands though..if its possible. How nice would it be to have my family marked with a unique color when traveling in the dark or when trying to protect each other.

I wonder if the flashing light is so you could be found if for some reason you get lost? I like the unique color for your family.

Its not always about being prepared for a natural disaster. Its about being self sufficient as well. Period.

You can use reflective tape on clothing to help keep your family identified. I need to go get a flashing light. You can download an I.pod application with lights and strobes and such, I kid you not!!
