Just Sayin...

If you watch The Disney Channel at all, you most likely recognize these characters:

Just a few thoughts....

-When did it become okay for our children to play in a large 'warehouse' with adult men?

-Do you think this is what these guys had in mind on career day as they announced, "I want to be an actor"?

I'm just saying...

*For the record, I actually approve of this show for my boys. But if you look at it from an adult (who sees the crime and bad of the world...) it makes you take a second look.

I can't see the video at work. Is it Imagination Movers? If so, those dudes creep me out.

Ashlee 12 May, 2009 07:30

I love Imagination Movers! And my kiddos do too!

hahaha! Yes, so many of today's kid's shows just creep me out!

B 12 May, 2009 08:01

I've never watched this show, but I have often wondered your last question often as I see other shows flash across the screens when I'm at friends homes playing.

Randi Troxell 12 May, 2009 08:22

i totally agree... and i also think that its sad that we even take a second look... but in this day and age.. we gotta.

Sally's World 12 May, 2009 08:30

LOL...i bet most kids TV actors cringe and think its not what they signed up for....but then again, those guys from australia...is it the wiggles??? are apparently, like, the second richest people in the universe or something (well australia anyway)they probbly just roll around in their money not caring about serious acting!!!

Just SO 12 May, 2009 08:47

My kids have moved on from this stage thankfully!

Jillene 12 May, 2009 08:56

O loves this show. But you are right--from an adult prospective--kind of suspicious.

Kristina P. 12 May, 2009 09:00

This makes me happy that I don't have any children.

Martha@A Sense of Humor is Essential 12 May, 2009 09:03

Teletubbies is the one that also weirds me out the most.

Karen 12 May, 2009 09:25

They probably make a fortune with their stupid children's show. Who needs to be a movie star?

Jessica G. 12 May, 2009 10:03

Hence, my concerns over poor little unsupervised Dora...
I like the IM guys, too. And I might have a mom-crush on one of them...

Fiauna 12 May, 2009 10:19

I totally agree. Weirds me out, too.

Country Mouse, City Mouse 12 May, 2009 10:26

I never thought of it, but now that you mention it! It is a favourite show around our house. It gives me a half hour without arguments!! I love it.

Jo 12 May, 2009 11:07

You make a very good point. Don't remember ever telling my kids to go "play" with grownup men, especially not in a warehouse! And yeah, I can see if they make a bigger break sometime in the acting world, they might want to pretend then never got started in this show!

Erin 12 May, 2009 13:04

I've never seen this show either, but yeah, that's definitely pretty awkward.

LaurieJ 12 May, 2009 13:04

I always wished that I could see the Wiggles as soon as the cameras stopped rolling. I imagine they looked around and thought WTH am I doing here??
Funny post :-)

Leavitt's 12 May, 2009 15:18

well, I've never seen this show and it kinda makes me happy that I don't have satellite anymore!! kinda creepy

Ginny 12 May, 2009 15:41

I hear ya... it's weird!

Lee 12 May, 2009 21:02

This reminds me of... what was it? It was a sh... Out of the Box!
That's right. It was on Disney Channel when I was like 10.
Who would let their children go with two adults into a magical box that turns into a play house?
Alone?

sweettea 13 May, 2009 08:55

Oh you "jaded adult"! LOL!!
Do you remember Mr. Rogers?
Need I say more.
Actually he was a nice man but through adult eyes I had lots of laughs. Ya know?!

Unknown 13 May, 2009 10:43

While your at it, what about the giant - "peculiar" shaped red thing on Yo Gabba Gabba. I am way to adult for htese shows!

Dawn Parsons Smith 13 May, 2009 14:40

My daughter loves this show...I agree with you...No way would I let my kids play with 4 grown men in a warehouse!

Missy 13 May, 2009 18:40

I am glad my son is too old for this! He would have loved it and it would have driven me crazy!

Leslie 13 May, 2009 19:19

It's been awhile since I've seen kid's shows. Teletubby's freaked me out enough when my son was little...

tiarastantrums 13 May, 2009 22:26

sort of like the new wiggles

Donna 14 May, 2009 12:05

Ha ha! Good points. I watched an episode of Imagination Movers just this morning with my son. He loves it, and I kind of like it too. I had a little crush on mover Rich for awhile. :)
