Whispers

>>  Monday, April 27, 2009

On a daily basis, it amazes me how incredibly different my boys are, yet so remarkably alike. My Mo-tay is stubborn and serious -like his mother, while Gettie is tender and silly hearted -everything is something to laugh about, in his world.

Going along with Gettie's silly ways, we play a game where I will whisper his name -whatever it may be that day (we have a lot of nicknames at my house).

Whispered by me "Gettie"

Which is usually met with his return whisper

"Mommee"

And then a fit of laughter and giggling from him. Smiles from me.

Recently, I initiated our little game with my usual whisper of "Gettie". This time however, it was met FIRST by a giggle and then a sweet whisper of "I Love You". Which has become his standard reply. Makes my heart soar.

My boys are complete opposites too....from the day they were born. They are 30 and 28 years old now and still have very opposite personalities. Go figure.

All of my kids are like that too. So different and yet there are things they do that are similar. it just goes to show they all have their own personalities at birth.

I love that picture! I tend to accidentally put my glasses on like that...

Put a smile on my face too! My "baby" boy is 38yrs old and I miss when he was my sweet little Teddy. Now he's Ted,with the Sheriff's Dept. No funny business. So sad. Treasure every minute of their youth! It goes by so quickly.
