I'm Back!!

>>  Wednesday, April 29, 2009

I'm sun-burnt. Tired (physically, mentally and emotionally). My gun is dirty. My suit-case even dirtier. But I survived. 4 days in the desert, training in defensive handgun. And let me tell you....it was quite the adventure. First of all, we traveled to Pahrump Nevada. Seriously. I had to look the place up on the internet to see if it really existed, and that was after I asked someone how to spell it, at leat 4 times. If you have never been to Pahrump. You aren't missing a whole lot. Except maybe some excellent firearm training.

The moral of the story? I didn't shoot anyone. It was hotter than hell, dirtier than hell, and a long way from home. I have 100+ (unread) emails in both my personal email, and my blog email in-box. 54 emails in my work email. 300+ unread posts in my google reader. 8 loads of laundry to be done. 5 suitcases to put away and 2 filthy dirty guns to make shine again. If I missed something, send me an email. I am still trying to get through it all..I can gaurantee if you are looking for a quick response, you won't find it. Not this week.

*I know not all of us are gun friendly..so if you want the nitty gritty on the ordeal, send me an email. I would LOVE to talk about my adventure in depth. However, I don't feel it best here.

I am still working on being OK with my husband even owning one!

Good for you doing the training!

Funny enough, one of my best friend's parents live in Parhump!

Glad you are home safe and sound. I've driven through Pahrump, a perfect spot for gun training.

One time driving through pahrump we got scared that it was going to turn into something like "the hills have eyes". We were all holding eachother in the back of the van.
Plus we passed a brothel and my CHURCH LEADER offered to drop me off for my job.
Nice, right?
Pahrump is the trash of Nevada.

I think that you ROCK!! I want a gun and a conceal to carry permit. I just have to prioritize and right now I need my bathroom re-done.

good for you... glad it was fun if also tiring!

It sounds like it was a lot of fun, even if it was hot and dirty. The hardest thing about vacation is coming home and having to catch up on everything that needs to get done!

You are my hero! You rock the glock, sister!

I am glad to hear you had a good time. That is the part that counts.

I think my husband wants to go do this. Sounds perfectly... dirty. :>

I am so glad it was good and I want to get together and do lunch and you can tell me all about it!
