Let the torture begin as we walk down memory lane. Ms Shanna of Just So has asked:

"What is your favorite High School memory...if you have one"

I have to admit, High School was not one my more favored walks in life. Despite that, I had some great friends, one even better best friend (now husband) and we all shared some good laughs.

We used to share Friday nights going to football games. Despite the fact that we had NO idea what was going on, we sang the fight song with all our heart. Having lived my High School days as a ...do I dare say it...a DART, it didn't matter from which side of the tracks your bus traveled, one thing was for sure -WE.HAD.SPIRIT- You could hear it, feel it, and touch it. A school rich in history, it brought us all together.

Although I would not choose to relive 90% of those days, I think it would be entertaining to return knowing what I know now. Be able to look at those that were cruel or unforgiving and know that it doesn't matter, that they never have and never will define ME or what I am meant to be.

wow, how amazing would that be, to go through it knowing it wouldn't be able to harm us...of course we can tell our kids that, but i'm pretty sure my parents told me those people didn't matter...i probably didn't believe them tho!!!

I only knew parts of the fight song at my school.

And, like you, while I hate the thought of having to relive my high school years, there were some positive times, and great friends too!

I really had a hard time in high school, and don't really keep in touch with anyone from that time.

I would never want to go back.

Thank goodness high school doesn't define any of us!!

My cousin is in high school now and I always tell her I wouldn't go back for a million dollars!

My high school days weren't all that bad, but I still wouldn't want to do it again!

I think Dart is the cruelest mascot ever. DId you have dressed up Dart at the games?

Elisa 25 April, 2009 23:29

SHUT UP!

I was in Pro Schola. (with brown and gold)

Curious?

We're up to snuff, we never ever ever bluff...

I have never gotten that line...

(heh heh.)

the darts? wow what did your mascot look like?

there is a community college here and the mascot is the fighting artichoke. i almost did a post about it once. and now, after reading your post i just might someday.

anyway, high school- was great but wouldn't want to redo.

trublubyu stole my question. What DID your mascot look like?

I'm glad I didn't go to highschool. It wouldn't be worth the social torture that seems to be present in schools today.

My grandparents went to Davis way back in the dawn of time. Now my nieces will go there. I wish my kids would, but alas, we're in Viking territory. Hope they build a new high school soon.

Amen sister! I was a Layton Lancer....

Thank goodness for that bit of truth. I used to have dreams of meeting with my elementary school tormenters and telling them off. Somewhere in my life, I have let go of them and they no longer matter.

You couldn't pay me enough to go back to high school! No way!
