Because my husband and I spend so much time apart, when we do get the opportunity to be together -just the two of us, it is truly a special occassion.
We recently started a new tradition. Its The Box. From each restaurant we visit, as just us, we take with us a stow-away. A souvenir. In the form of the restaurants table coasters. The date of our time together is written on the back of the coaster and placed in The Box.
Its nothing more than a shoe box. But the treasures it holds are very special. For the memories made are treasures in themselves. Those moments where we are allowed to fall in love with each other -all over again!

What a great idea! I take tons of pictures of special events, but don't really think about the different everyday outings we go on.

That is just so cool.
I used to take the coasters at places just to steal them but eventually pitched them because they were taking up space... and ironically all of those coasters came from times that me and hubby were out together. Never thought to use them as a memory.
I'm not sentimental at all, and don't really have keepsakes, but I love this idea!

This is so great! Our box would be practically empty! Kids, work, and all! Maybe if we had a box, we would be more determined to fill it!

Awwwww. That is so nice. Patrick & I have off & on through the years made love books. We just write notes to each other in the book & it is so fun to go back & read the old ones. They don't take up much room either.
