The Tale of Two Carpets

>>  Wednesday, February 11, 2009

The carpet on the top (half) is what was already in our basement
The carpet on the bottom (half) is our NEW and IMPROVED carpet

This is the NEW carpet workin' it upstairs
(No Coving Yet)

This is what our baseboards will look like when the coving is put in....
There is no baseboard washing at my house, just a good swipe with the old Dyson

No matter what the concern..this is where we came from...
MUCH IMPROVEMENT!

As of this moment..I can honestly say.....I am as happy as can be! I don't feel foolish for being disappointed yesterday, but I do see that all is well and I LOVE the NEW CARPET. The house feels warmer, more inviting. Its funny how a good carpet can say 'Welcome Home'! I truly am spoiled and blessed.

P.S. This is for Kristie and Mama-that infamous bottom stair doesn't match the rest of the stairs yet..but it will. It will, VERY VERY VERY SOON!

Did you take the baseboards completely off or cover them? When we recarpet, I may steal this idea.
