When The Silence Is Comforting
>> Sunday, November 23, 2008
Despite their repeated protests of "I'm not tired" or "I don't want to rest", I insisted that my boys lay down, and if nothing else rested for a little while. Seth gave in much quicker than Mason did, but when silence was heard, I knew I had been victorious.

This is what I did earlier today. Minus the sippy cup. Or not.
I wish my kids still did that!!
Ahhh! Silence IS comforting. :)
Aww!
Ahhhh, so precious! Silence is golden!
So sweet!! He looks so comfy!
I still do that now! I get home from school "I'm not tired" 5 minutes later I'm knocked out on the couch.
awwww with the sippy cup and all!!!
that's the best position to see kids in! i hope it lasted a long time!
And the surrounding toys...seems like I am always picking toys out of their beds from where they were left once the kid fell asleep.
I love sleep, of all kinds. Naps, night time, whatever.
I remember my kids saying, I'm not tired!
I would then quickly remind them that bedtime is not for tired children, it is for parents who are tired of their children, now go to sleep! zzzzzzzz
Glad you were victorious! You knew you were right!
As a mother of 5 ages 13-3 I am right there with you on the silence. I love the time after 9:30 pm and it is just me and my husband. I love to go look at them when they are sleeping-reminds me they can be angels at times:)
