The Silence

If the house is quiet, and the kids are awake, its a sure sign that they need to be checked on. Recently, as I sat downstairs, I could hear the boys running around overhead -laughing and giggling. I could tell they were up to something, but knew that as long as I could hear them, whatever they were doing couldn't be that bad.. That is when it happened. I heard the dragging of kitchen chairs across the tile floor and then silence. 
Things just taste better from under the table. The good news, they are good and fed. No need to worry about dinner tonight, the kids can take care of themselves

I have one child that is really bad at this but it usually involves chocolate chips or icecream! GRRR! Makes me nuts.
Well, at least they are happy!
quiet children= mischief. i hate when the kids are quiet- i never know what i am going to find.
but, yay that you didn't have to make dinner.
My kids just started eating under the table last week. They dropped some food under there and I haven't seen them since.
My kids do that ALL of the time!!
put a blanket over it and they will stay for hours. Trust me on this one.....
Oh yea, the terrifying silence of awake kids, you never know what disaster lies around the corner!
Haha! Reminds me of when I was little. I would eat anything I could.
Plus I was very quiet. Usually when I was up to no good!
