I'm Growing So Fast

>>  Sunday, May 18, 2008

Every day our Sweet Little M conquers a new task, and becomes more independent. I remember it starting with him being able to flip on light switches as he progressed to opening doors.

Just this week, I set him in his car seat, then proceeded to tend to Little S and his car seat. By the time I returned to buckle Little M in, he had done it already. The buckles were backwards, but he had done it. Now we just pray that he doesn't figure out how to reverse the process and UN-buckle them.

Tonight we reached yet another milestone as Little M dressed himself. He has been making attempts at it for weeks. He had previously mastered getting the clothes, and bringing them to you. And if laid out on the floor, he could put on his own pants.

Out of frustration, and being ready for bedtime, I hollered "Go, Go Put Your Pajamas On...." Which is exactly what he did. See for yourself...
If you look closely, you can see that he has put his shirt on backwards, and unfortunately his tractor pants don't exactly match his Lighting McQueen shirt. But we all have to start somewhere, right? Proof though, that my little boy is growing up. I can only imagine what will come next.
