1 Tonsil, 2 Tonsil, No Tonsil

My sweet boys recently had their tonsils removed....

Both boys were in need of the surgery, so we struck a deal with the hospital and locked down a TWO-Fer deal. Two boys, two sets of tonsils, one price. {Nevermind the fact that that price included TWO sugeries, but we would only have to pay it once}.

Our Mo-Tay handled things like a champ. Yes he did! Uncomfortable he was, but he powered through and didn't require much pain medication. He was also VERY good for the medical staff that attended to him.

Mr. Mr. Gettie..on the other hand...

Upon waking up in recovery and discovering the I.V. in his little hand, he was less than a gentleman to the staff. His pain seemed to be greater also, and he managed to get himself pumped full of everything they could get in his little body. (I think the nurses were trying to make up for him being so upset with them initially).

While the boys seemed to rebound quickly, initially {and collected on promises of ice cream and popsicles}, it was all short lived. Because we went from them being up and things looking optimistic to miserable in a matter of hours.

It's been just shy of a full two weeks and we are JUST barely getting back to normal {minus the middle of the night upsets. They seem to experience the most pain over night-poor little turkeys}.

I'm being told that the last two weeks will be returned to me in full, once they are completely healed, making way for much less sickness and hopefully more restful nights {as one of the reasons they both needed them out was due to sleep apnea}.
