Being a Mother to Little Boys-The Truths

Truth #2-The rubber-bands for my hair are fashioned into sling shots, tie-downs and tow hitches. Yes, I said tow hitches. I can't tell you how many times I've found one toy car 'towing' another...my hair band acting as the go-between, between the two cars. I miss the days when it was only the cat I had to keep from wandering away with such things.
Truth #3-Just about anything can be driven or fashioned into a weapon {of some sort}.
Truth #4-Life really can be all sports, all-the-time. There is always something sports related on {or to do}. Don't believe me? Trust me. If it's not football, baseball, or basketball it's Little League, Sports Center, Nascar, The World Cup, Fishing, or my personal {non} favorite- The draft for any of the sports already mentioned.

Truth #5-They really are worth every moment.

All true. Wait until they make something with your bra...
I have always wanted boys, over girls. This just confirms it.
It has never failed to amaze me how boys play differently than girls. How come those hair elastics are tow ropes for boys and hair elastics for girls' dolls?
They really are worth every moment!
That's truth #5!
HAHA! So true!
My littlest was driving his spoon around his highchair tray yesterday. With perfect sound effects he made the perimeter! His big brother's watched with complete understanding of the need,
PRICELESS!
Thanks for stopping by my place!
hehe. Made me laugh. Little boys are so inventive...there really is a huge difference in the way they play than in the way little girls play. A parent can forbid toy guns, but as you say, they'll pick up a stick and say, "bang, bang!". I think the fellows need a little sister now Danielle!! You'd be amazed at the difference.
YOu captured boys so perfectly here!!! With 4 brothers, I saw it all!
It's true! #5 is my favorite!
Truth #1 reminds me of the time I almosthad to explain my 2 y/o son what a tampon was...

Love the car-towing hair bands. I just came over from mmb, and I love that you were honest that mothering doesn't come naturally to you. I think it does somewhat for me, but there are many things that DON'T! Things that I feel should and seem to for other people. It is kind of comforting when someone admits that, but seems to feel it is OK and still worth the doing. Lucky little boys you have.
