Potty training talk, that is. Please feel free to skip.....
I hate to be too optimistic but it appears my youngest has managed to potty train himself. Can I really be this lucky? After many {read: lots and lots and lots} of struggles potty training my Mo-Tay, this is all too good to be true.
Mr. Mr. Gettie has showed little to no interest in the whole thing. I've tried every form of incentive. Nothing phases the kid. Nothing. Despite the fact that we knew he was capable. When it suited him, he would follow his {potty trained} brothers lead. At one point, he told me that it was easier for me to change his diaper than for him to stop what he was doing. Ugh!
Without warning, he took on the task of being potty trained. So far we've gone almost three days. Three days, 1 {kind of} accident, and nothing but dry times.
My diaper changing days could be over. Please, let it be true!

Good luck! Keeping my fingers crossed... Princess Nagger was an obstinate potty trainee - but boy what a relief when she finally mastered the art! ;)
hope it lasts for your sake..
but the fact that he told you it was just easier for you to change his diaper than for him to take care of business just sent me waaa-aaay over the edge... lol!!!!!
He is definitely my patience tester...day in and day out.
I really think that kids will just do it when they're ready. This is fantastic!!!!
My sister decided that she wasn't going to stress over her youngest (twins) being potty trained. And sure enough, when they were ready to wear big boy underwear they did! I'll keep my fingers crossed for you.
I hope it sticks. Don't be disappointed if he back-slides. Lots and lots of encouragement should keep it going, though.
