Oh How it Burns!

>>  Friday, April 2, 2010

I should have known that curiosity would get the most of you when I posted the 10,642th stupid thing I'd done.

So here it goes.

Dare I admit, I had an unsightly ::ahem:: wart ::ahem:: developing on my pointer finger. I tried to ignore it, hoping that it would go away {That was stupid thing 10,641}. It finally got to the point that I could no longer ignore it. It was right in the bend of the first joint.

Desperate for a solution {because I'd tried everything the store had to offer}, I did what I do best. I Googled it. The first site I found said three words- Apple Cider Vinegar. The directions simple. Place a small amount of ACV on a piece of cotton, place it on the affected area and cover with a bandaid. It suggested to do this over night -repeatedly, for 3-4 nights.

I'm here to attest that 1 night is sufficient. Because the unsightly {I refuse to name it again} was gone. What that website didn't tell me was that it demolished unsightly things by BURNING them..... and ALL the skin around it. About a dime sized amount of skin.

I've reached a month of nurturing a burn that is going to leave a scar far more awful than the reason this whole thing started. I told you trying it yourself wouldn't be worth it.

Holy Smokes D! I'm sorry! I've not heard of the ACV treatment... But I know that duct tape can work sometimes too.....

Hope the scar diminishes and you heal nicely!

Well, at least the wart is gone? Maybe? I hope?

Thanks for the tip! :)
