Like a Record Baby

Something I enjoy, this time of year, is simply just sitting near the Christmas tree. Listening to it hum, as the lights twinkle by. What? Your tree doesn't hum? Mine does. The faint hum is a result of the tree twirling (say that three times, real fast. Twee Trirling, Tree Twirling, Twee, Trirling).

That's right, my tree might not be the prettiest tree in all the land. It might not be the most youthful (bought the year My Better Half and I married). But by golly, it stands proud, spinning for the world to see, as it displays years of memories -hanging from it's branches.

I like to think my spinning tree is unique. What special tricks does your tree perform?

My tree smells like pine. I love walking by and catching a whiff...yum!

My auntie has a "spinny" tree and I want one too! I think that is soooo cool!

My tree has a Mickey Mouse ski slope that my Mom bought when I was younger. The kids love it and on occasion I will catch Adam playing with it.

We also have what Adam refers to as "the disco ball". It's a tree topper that spins and reflects stars on the wall.

I want a twirling tree!

Sadly, we don't have a tree. And I don't know if we'll have one.
Usually it was a live tree. But now we get fake trees. Buy them on clearance and then donate them to the thrift store, buy a new one next year. Cheaper than a real tree, but we don't have to store it.

I've never seen a tree that spins for sale, but my sister-in-law found one at a garage sale 2 years ago so they have a spinning one now too. My tree does pushups. Haha

It really spins? Wow! That's impressive. Mine fills our house with its wonderful pine scent! And it twinkles too. I love it!

My tree has the special ability to stay in the rafters of the garage. Not much need of a tree now that my special gal isn't here, and I go to daughter's home anyway. Merry Christmas, Arlon

A spinning tree, whooo Hoo!
My tree doesn't tip over from the weight of the zillion ornaments.
