I've Gone CooCoo for Christmas Flicks
>> Friday, December 4, 2009
I have a confession. I tend to be a bit of a bah-humbug. It's true. I typically boycott Christmas decorations until AFTER the first of December. Christmas music is not allowed until the WEEK OF, and don't even think about all those heart warming, feel good, fuzzy-wuzzy movies, until the Day OF. Lame. I know!
This year, however, seems to be different. I can't get enough of it all. I actually found myself seeking Christmas music to listen to on my drive to work..almost every day this week. I come home and sit as close to the Christmas tree as possible. Okay, really, my living room hot spot is nearest the tree, but it sounds good.
And, the movies. I can't get enough. Seriously. I have watched every Christmas movie I can find, repeatedly, since Sunday. The kids beg for Tinker Bell and Mickey Mouse, while I give it all I've got, trying to convince them that they want to watch the Polar Express..One More Time!
I don't know what's gotten into me, but I'm enjoying it!

see for some reason.. this yr. i am the TOTAL opposite.. it just doesn't quite feel like Christmas yet... maybe i should be the tree up at least though!!!
have a wonderful wkend!!!!
I can't wait for Home Alone to come on. It's my favorite. I have to watch it every year.
I watched A Christmas Carol in both versions already. I'm watching another Christmas movie tonight too. I love it! I approve of your holiday spirit.
There are very, very few Christmas movies I like. My favorite one is Love, Actually. Adam's is Die Hard. :)
Usually my mom and I are very Christmasy. This year we're more concerned with going to see my grandma before she dies.
I haven't watched any holiday movies yet! What is wrong with me?! :)
I'm glad you are having so much fun with your kids.
I love Christmas.
I have already watched Elf and A Christmas Carol (the TV version 1984) and we taped Rudolph. I love holiday shows too!
I'm totally getting into the spirit this year too. I'm loving it.
By the way I found this picture last year as an 'upside down Christmas tree' but doesnt it look like a pair of underwear? At least it did to me. Haha.
That's funny. I do kind of get tired of the songs sometimes before Christmas, but everything else I love and want to soak in before it's over and gone again for the year.
I am the way you usually are about Christmas. I think I need a little of what you've got!
:~D
I love Christmas Movies!!! I love how that one channel has a differnt christmas movie every night in dec. I think it's abc family??
I had myself a Xmas film festival and LOVED it!
