A Thankful Heart

Today is truly a day of Thanks! A day to enjoy the company of loved ones, to reflect on what the year has gifted us, and look forward to what the next year will bring.

Today, I am Thankful for....

My Better Half. He is a loving husband, my biggest fan (besides my Mama and Fatherson), and my best friend. I couldn't ask for a better person, man, or husband in my life.

An Angel baby. Sent here to teach, and bring light. Not taken, but returned to a much higher power, to serve in much higher places -her tasks, here on earth completed

My Mo-tay. My oldest son, and a mirror image of me. He teaches me patience, love and understanding.

My Mr. Mr. Gettie. A ray of sunshine, he can bring light to any room. Always showing me that there is enough love and laughter to cure just about anything

Great and wonderful family, specifically my parents. My fatherson. There are not enough words to describe my love and gratitude for him. My Mother...by choice, as I chose her, and her..I. I would not be the person I am, without her.

The warmth and safety of a humble home. Built with blood, sweat, and tears, and held together with love. I often forget how blessed I truly am to have this place, I call home. Today, I remember.

A true and steady job, and the income that is provides. In this day and age, of hard economic times, it's important that I stop and be grateful, for the security that I am afforded, as there are many that are doing less than they are capable of, because that is all the community has to offer them. While I continue to do, as I have always done.

The freedoms I enjoy as an American citizen, because of those that sacrifice so much. Those that have gone before me, as well that will continue, long after I am gone.

Last, but not least..My Faith in my Father in Heaven. A sure knowledge that he lives. Not only does he live, but he knows and loves me.
