Christmas is Coming! Christmas is Coming!

Before you decide to hang me, for talking Christmas...just hear me out.

Christmas is COMING! It's approximately 59 days away. That may seem like a lot. But in reality, it's not. Especially if you have crafting to do.

Besides the fact that I have been working on my Christmas projects since..oh, JUNE, one may wonder what has sparked my sudden excitement for the season.

The answer? Simple. It's THIS BOOK!

The story of how I came to know this book is this;

Two years ago, my sister-in-law prepared The Twelve Days of Christmas for my family. In discussing it with a co-worker, I discovered that there was an actual book called The Twelve Days of Christmas. Even better, the author of this AWESOME book, lives locally -not to far from this Eagles nest. In-fact, her daughter, is my co-worker. After discovering all of this, I did what anyone would do, I selfishly asked for a book of my own (willing to pay of course), directly from the author herself. My wishes, granted. Autograph included.

After reading the book, I took the time, last year, to share the magic with some important people in my life, by preparing my own Twelve Days of Christmas. The theme: The Reason for the Season

I've decided to take this year off (we are doing the Elf Project instead...yet another one of the authors COOL ideas). I am however, ramping up for NEXT year after discovering that the author has released an Encore! A second book. The Twelve Days of Christmas ENCORE!

Why am I sharing all of this with you? You might ask. It's two fold.

First-If you haven't read this book (BOTH BOOKS), you need to. If you don't own it, you must buy it (BOTH BOOKS). If you aren't sharing the magic of The Twelve Days of Christmas with at least your spouse and children, you are missing out. It's truly magical.

Second-When you get to page 89 of the second book (Twelve Days of Christmas, ENCORE!)-Think of me. After having done my own Twelve Days, I sent my ideas to the author. Some of which made an appearance. I have no proof that she used them as a result of reading through my ideas, but some of it was so familiar, I like to believe she heard me. She added, expanded, and came up with some great additions, but the theme itself The Reason For the Season was my theme, as well as some of the concepts, verses and 'gifts', shared in the book.

Pretty cool, if I may say so myself. The author is a truly inspired woman. You can feel that, just by reading her books. She is one of those people that her genuine spirit (and it's a GREAT one) permeates everything she touches. So to have even a small particle, a fleck, of any of my ideas in HER book, well, that means a lot.

The point:
I have both books *cough* autographed and hand delivered *cough. The second book has *cough* a few of my ideas splattered among the authors FABULOUS ideas *cough*. You NEED to buy BOTH books.

These books bring back the magic of Christmas and what it's really all about! You won't regret reading or implementing any of the the books contents. My life was enriched by the things shared in both books, yours will be as well -enriched, that is!

**For the FTC: This is NOT a review post. I purchased the above mentioned books with my own hard earned money. The purchase of the books was not done, for any other reason than because I'm a consumer, and thats what I do...buy things. I was not paid to share my thoughts, nor was I encouraged. I share, because I like to share...and well, I'm opinionated. I stand by the fact that I believe these books will enrich your lives. Yet still, it is nothing more than my personal opinion. You can take it all, for what its worth.**

I'm going to take your advice and look for these books.

I started Christmas shopping this weekend. Most of it on-line, but a few more things today. I think I am done with my youngest. That is a good feeling! I hate to be rushed during December and not able to concentrate on the important part of the holiday.
