An Eagles View: Catching Dragonflies

On a recent visit with family, one of their sweet children shared with My Better Half and I that she was "trying to catch dragonflies". She hadn't caught any yet, but was determined to be successful.

My Better Half, in is infinite wisdom told our sweet niece that if she caught that elusive dragonfly, he would take her to dinner. She got a twinkle in her eye and disappeared.

It should have been of no surprise when the phone rang last night. It rang with an urgency that could be felt. I could hear the excitement in the voice on the other end. Declaring:

".........UNCLE....KYLE..I CAUGHT A DRAGONFLY!"

Today, we made good on 'Uncle Kyle's' promise, and took the cutest, red haired, blue eyed little girl -that you ever will see, to lunch. In exchange for a noon-time meal, instead of the evening meal -that had been promised, we made it extra special by treating her to Pizza and all the tokens she could carry in her two hands, at the Local Chuck E. Cheese. Oh the joys we experienced today!

What I'm Doing Here...

I blog for so many reasons. This started as your typical 'Mommy Blog' but quickly evolved into so much more. I blog to stay sane, document our days and to express myself.

I like to claim this as my little corner of the blogosphere. A safe place for me to share my story, my boys and their crazy antics, our adventures as a family and the odd occurrences of our household.

I'm grateful for all of you that support my ramblings -on a daily basis- and welcome those of you visiting for the first time. Its my hope that you come and sit a while; that we may have a chance to get to know each other.
