Spoiled Milk, Good People, and Thieves
>> Thursday, February 26, 2009
This evening, I had the pleasure of meeting for what was supposed to be dessert with Ms. Bonnie of The Zoo. Notice I said, was supposed to be.....
Because there was much more than meets the eye as the event unfolded. It was a learning experience -to say the least. Three very valuable lessons learned this evening.
Spoiled Milk:
Did you know...it is humanly possible for 12 ounces of Chocolate Oreo Shake to cover the front, side, and back of a full grown adult and there still be enough to cover a small toddler and the booth they are sitting in? Yup! Believe it.
Good People:
Ms. Bonnie is a Saint! She is charming, and a delight to be around. She didn't even bat an eye when my youngest threw a classic temper tantrum. In fact she was gracious, giving, helpful and as a thank you for causing such a scene, she showered me with gifts. *A very cute bracelet. Just adorable, and its pink (INSERT PICTURE HERE)...my camera battery is dead, and the bracelet is covered in spoiled milk -see above-. AND she paid for my eats (which I am enjoying as I type!) YUMMY! THANK YOU -Praise to the man that invented To-Go boxes!!
Thieves:
Bonnie gracefully emptied the contents of her purse, one item at a time in and effort to keep us all sane and my kids in control. (Did I mention she is a saint? See above, if you missed that part). She let my kids rob her blind. Yup! My Mo-tay was so proud of himself as we pulled into the drive and he announced..."Mommy..Look...It's Bonnies..." Oh Boy! So, Bonnie my dear..I have your US Bank Lint Brush.
The Moral of the Story:
Thank goodness for good, kind-hearted and understanding people. Dried Chocolate Oreo Shakes on denim smells like spoiled milk. My boys are theives.
*For the bloggy friends that are wondering why they didn't get invited? I can only humilate one friend at a time. My services are limited. That and it was a quick meeting to provide a friend with some supplies for a science project. It was all in the name of science.*
*And To Bonnie..THANK YOU! I'm Sorry! (You REALLY ARE A PRO, I could learn a lot from you) And I am forever in debt to you! I will re-pay you for your kindness and the yummy eats you provided me. Some day, some how...some where!
*One of the two thieves was in a blissful slumber by the time we got home!
15 Pepsi Points :
Thanks for the much needed smile :)
What a fun time! I'm sure Bonnie handled it like a pro.
With her five, I am sure your two didn't even make her turn a hair! Sounds like fun! Except for the spoiled milk smell, not my favorite.
It sounds like a very exciting evening! I'm glad you survived :)
Bonnie seems like the type to roll with pretty much anything. I'm glad you had a nice time...even with the rotten milk smell.
Good times, gooood times!
I'm only going to cry a little....
Mental note....no Oreo Milkshake when out.
:)
My daughter LOVES purses...like LOVES LOVES them. The other day when the 2 year old 'thief' came home and I asked her what was in her purse...she showed me most of what she could swipe of of her grandmothers fridge.
Ring, ring...Um, Mom. Have you seen your fridge yet? No? I'll wait....YESSSSS, I'll return it all when we come over. YESSSSS, the CHIPS magnet of your yesteryear is in here!
Poor Nana. :)
Loved your post today.
You got to have dessert with Bonnie?
I'm so jealous!
gotta love those milk shakes, lol! sounds like an interesting time... happy friday!
First off, that is the best blog post title around! LOL! I couldn't wait to read it!
I am definitely coming up there now because it sounds like a thrill a minute with you, my Queen!
(plus I still want to lounge on that fabulous furniture!)
And, you are the best blog buddy in Blogland! Thank you for all the support and info yesterday! Hugs all around!
You are so sweet. I loved it and so did my daughter. No problem. I am blushing a bit at the moment. We need to do it again sometime.
Wow...
see, this is why I don't get oreo shakes whenever I go to Denny's.
Because I would get it all over myself. I'm just as clutsy as a toddler.
When my kids were little they LOVED to get into purses!! Bonnie sounds like a saint. I need to invite her over to keep my kids entertained!! :)
you are so funny. sounds like a great time.
