Facebook Smacebook

If you received a "friend request" from me on Facebook. Sorry about that. I OBVIOUSLY am not as technically competent as I would like to be in the foreign land of Facebook. It was a whirlwind of click-click-clack-click-click and Poof! Followed by a small dust cloud as facebook collided with everyone that I have ever received an email from in my blogging world.

As quickly as I created the account and sent of at least 6 million requests for all of you to be my 'friend', I realized what I had done, and was flushed with embarrassment.

Once the red left my cheeks, I re-evaluated and hopefully clicked the correct box as I de-activated the account. I don't need another vice to tie me to my keyboard. I think I will stick to my blogging.

I have a love/annoyed relationship with Facebook. I hate the little updates...I want more info! That is why we blog :-)

Lorie 03 February, 2009 21:27

I think that might have been the quickest facebook experience ever!

My husband loves Facebook, I am just not that into it....although Flair was fun for a day!

Kristina P. 03 February, 2009 21:57

I thought I got an email from you, but when I went to go through my requests, you weren't there!

I would be happy to be your friend.

I have a facebook only because a friend forced me into it.I totally DO NOT get it.I only log on it when I know she's sent me a note. Why not just use e-mail?? It says things like: "right now I'm sleepy." Then go to bed and don't tell me about it!!!! BTW,right now I'm sleepy. G'nite.

Facebook isn't my thing either. But if you deactivated it does that mean you don't want to be our friend after all?

Jillene 04 February, 2009 08:07

That is why it doesn't take me to your accept page. I was gettng confused and hoping that you didn't thing that I don't like you or something!!

Jillybean 04 February, 2009 08:41

That's the exact reason why I'm not on Facebook or Twitter.
I don't scrapbook either.

Randi Troxell 04 February, 2009 08:49

Shauna 04 February, 2009 09:38

Amen, sister! Let's keep our craft pure. Just say no to social networking.

I am so glad that I didn't have to talk you down off of this cliff.

I had a facebook page because a friend talked me into it. I felt like a giant loser because I had 3 friends. So I spent the time sending flair to them. Then it became a distraction and I deactivated. I'm so happy that I am not the only one who could do it.

I am loving facebook but it's because I'm catching up with old friends from HS and college. Ha!

BTW I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the picture of your son with the upside down crown on his head. LOVE it!

Jen 04 February, 2009 16:29

Sniff-sniff, but totally understand why you don't want one more vice!

Lee 04 February, 2009 20:31

I de-activated my facebook for the exact some reason.
Myspace and blogging is enough for me.

Bobie 05 February, 2009 07:43

When I first started reading it, I thought what the heck is she thinking.... You have like what?? 20 blogs?? he he

kel 05 February, 2009 08:10

I just joined and I am so confused!!!

I love FB but it does have it's UUGGHHH tendencies!!!

Jessica G. 05 February, 2009 16:11

I refuse to join Facebook. There's people I used to know out there that I really don't want to know about my life but I would feel way too guilty about rejecting friend invites.

Kathy 05 February, 2009 16:12

My daughter keeps trying to talk me into facebook! I KNOW I don't need another reason to facilitate my butt spreading and folding itself around the chair in front of my computer. She's also the one who talked me into blogging. Then when I started blogging, she abandoned for Facebook. hmmmm...

Donna 05 February, 2009 17:11

I was trying to figure out why you weren't there when I clicked on the link with your friend request. Now I understand! I started using Facebook in December and they make it tricky--they want you to e-mail all of your friends with requests, which I had to be super-careful not to do. So I understand. Facebook is fun though, and I do enjoy it. But you have enough on your hands with all of your cool blogs!

Anonymous ,  05 February, 2009 20:46

Why does facebook do that? Just because you've contacted someone once upon a time does not mean you want to be tied facebookishly to them. lol

A Friendly Reader Only 06 February, 2009 00:35

Facebook?? I have not even checked this out - I am having enough trouble keeping up with my blog. Loved your post about your shoes - I had to look really close myself to see a difference - so I know I would have done the same thing.

Kristie 06 February, 2009 09:17

I wondered why I couldn't find you! I would be your friend if you would let me!

McMrs 06 February, 2009 09:30

I also de-activated my facebook!

You've been tagged!
