National Pet Peeve Week

>>  Sunday, October 12, 2008

It's National Pet Peeve Week! (Okay, so there were some blogs announcing that it was last week, but the report I read -which I so conveniently misplaced, said that National Pet Peeve Week falls on the 2nd FULL week in October. Thus being this week October 12-18). All of which I find to be quite ironic considering the fact that my birthday too falls in the 2nd week of October and I am the most inpatient person you will ever meet, with the longest list of "That Drives Me Crazy". Coincidence? I think not my friend! Try Destiny!

So let's kick this off right, shall we?

My Official List of "Pet Peeves"
1.)Stupid People -Must I say anymore? 90% of all my other complaints revert back to this, people can be so incredibly dumb (myself included, but only occasionally)
2.)People that cheat the system. Or in laymans terms, lie their way through it all. These are the people that abuse the system of honesty and take advantage of the rest of us in the process. Don't think that you've pulled the wool over my eyes, I can see right through your stories and dirty little tricks.
3.)That person that talks incessantly first thing in the morning! I'm trying to focus here people, trying to get off to a good start, and your jabbering is nothing but a nuisance. Just STOP TaLKiNG! PLEASE!
4.)Walmart. That doesn't keep me from shopping there, because quite frankly they have the best deals 90% of the time. But I'm convinced that Sam Walton is the devil. When the clerk asks me if "I found everything okay", I always reply with "Yeah, always do. Too well in fact". When is the last time you made it out of Walmart having spent less than $30?
5.)People that botch my birthday. By botch I mean A.)Forget it all together B.)Get me something with a Halloween theme as a gift. OR C.)Those insincere gifts. The ones you buy, because you felt obligated. If you don't know me well enough to know what to get me, then I would prefer nothing more than a simple card. An expression of "I at least thought of you" means a whole lot more than the "Here, I didn't know what else to get you, so I picked the first thing that fit within the price range I was will to shell out..." So basically, your screwed when it comes to this time of year. You are damned if you do, and damned if you don't. Ask Kyle, he can attest to this truth.

Your Turn! We've got all week to revel in the glory that is National Pet Peeves Week (Even if the nay sayers want to claim that it was last week. We ARE doing it THIS WEEK! This is MY BLOG, and I will throw a temper tantrum if I want to) Leave me your pet peeves..all of them, one of them, or your favorite. It doesn't matter to me!

I really hate when people make assumptions about me or other things in my life.

It was nice to meet you! Sorry we didn't talk much, but I am glad you came. I can't leave Walmart without spending at least $50. I even have a Walmart post about my love/hate relationship with Walmart. He is the devil.

From working at walmart I can say he really is the devil. I can make it out of there without paying over $50.00 but not very often. (posted by Korynn's husband)

ok....here is goes. I can't stand when people are so insistent of doing something then totally letting the ball drop and decide it was just to much for them.

Hey I found you through Kristina.

I'm SO excited that you've enlightened me to the fact of this week being pet peeve week! YAY! Now I have a reason to be snarky.

I'm a Target addict instead of Wal-Mart, but Target isn't my pet peeve, although it is my husband's. One of mine is store cashiers/workers who are rude and inattentive. They are getting paid to serve the customer, and when they don't do it, it drives me nuts!
