The Better Half of Me

>>  Thursday, October 16, 2008

I spend a lot of time talking about me, me, me and more of me on this “Our Family Blog”. I thought it time to share a well kept secret, that being The Better Half of me.
My better half is good looking, charming, funny, and loving, and, and, and, I could go on forever. Although outwardly quiet, when comfortable he can turn from quiet and reserved to outgoing and quick witted.
There are a million and two reasons, that I love this man. Every day I brace myself for the moment when he is going to throw his arms in the air and announce, “I’ve had enough…” -insinuating he has put up with me for too long. But it hasn’t happened yet. He’s patient and giving when it comes to me. Its not unlike him to give into my every whim. Regardless of the burden. What other man would attend an (almost) all ladies lunch of 13 or more women, just because you asked him to? Mine!! Yeah, believe it. And for those of you that don’t, ask around –there are real live people that witnessed it.
Not only is he a fantastic husband, he is a GREAT dad. He’s good with our boys and they adore their Dawi (Da-Wee). Sometimes I have to remember not to take it so personal as they run to him for their every need. I do the same thing, so why wouldn’t they? He takes care of everything. He keeps up his end of the bargain -cleaning, changing diapers, cooking, laundry, you name it, he probably manages 90% of it.
I've watched him grow from the high school boy I had a crush on all those years ago, to the man, that I love. He has blessed me with our boys -the two out of a million and two reasons why I love him. Two little boys, that without any doubt get their good looks and charm from him -as they begin to look more and more like him every day. Both the youth version of him, as well as todays him.
A girl couldn't ask for a better husband or best friend! For I loved him yesterday, I love him still, Always have, Always Will!

That's so awesome that he was your high school crush. I wish I knew what my husband was like in high school, but he never gives me an honest answer, I think he was a geek.

It's fun to watch boys grow up to look like their dads. My fourteen year old has some resemblances of his dad but got my brown eyes and hair!:(

This would have been a perfect Sappy Sunday post (my new love, a reason to be positive!) but I appreciate it any day.

Every good man deserves a shout out once in awhile, they do not get them enough!
