I'm DSNW! What's your Skin Type?

>>  Thursday, June 12, 2008

I had finally reached a breaking point. I have always struggled with my skin. My 'ailments' are quite insignificant in comparision to what many others have experienced with their skin. Regardless, it is my skin, and I am not comfortable in it. At the very least I always imagined that as I approached my 25th birthday, that I would finally find peace in the mornings. But, when 25 came and went, I figured, maybe 30 would be the magic number.

I still have 3 years to go, to find out...and I just can't wait that long. I hate never knowing what my skin will look like from day to day, and I hate being an adult with acne.

So, as I do with most things, I got on the internet and began searching things out. I typed in "How to know my skin type.." The first sight I was directed to was a website managed by Florida State Dermatologist and University Professor, Leslie Baumann.

She has written a book, demystifying all the skin secrets that I have been longing for all these years. A book titled 'The Skin Type Solution'. I however, am dubbing it the 'SKIN BIBLE'. The beauty bible of all bibles.

I read the entire book in an evening, took a test that's within one of the chapters, and realized that all these years I have been treating my skin, and using products on my skin that is in complete contrast to what it needs to be healthy. I am currently on day 3 of my new regimen, and it's like having new skin.

If you have ANY concerns about your skin, or just want Healthy skin...PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE read this book. I imagine I could feel different in a few weeks..but as of today, the blemishs that I started out the week with are completely gone and I have been blemish FREE for 3 entire days. That is ground breaking in my history book. I have woken up every morning since junior high with something else 'growing' on my skin. If I had only found this book 15 years ago.

I know I probably sound like someone trying to pitch a product. What can I say..a girl can be found wearing her confidence on her face, and if she isn't happy with what people see, then she lacks in confidence. I have a new found confidence, and want to share it!
