No Cards This Year...

>>  Saturday, December 11, 2010

The Christmas shopping is done, the stocking stuffers are bought and the wrapping is just about done.

It's time to break out the Christmas Cards, and commence the sending....

The truth is, I'm just not feeling it.

It could have everything to do with the 200+ cards I addressed, sealed and stamped for my employer.

Whatever the reason, we are going card-less this year.

The way I see it, it's one less thing for those that were to get one, to throw away at the end of the season.

I only send out about 20. It's really too bad, because the rest of the world misses out on our awesomeness.

I have never, ever, ever done Christmas cards. But this year I actually decided to do some. I ordered 20, and somewhere along the way I realized I only had 19 (which means one lucky recipient got two in their envelope!!)

I totally understand! My thing the past couple of years is to do electronic cards. It might be tacky to some, but hey, it's either that or don't get them out. It's cheaper and saves trees. I'm not sure if I'll get them out either. It's 2 weeks away and I have just begun shopping. Cards are the last thing on my list.

I'm with you... this year, it just isn't gonna happen...

So, I decided to cheat... Gotta love 10 minutes with JibJab - Christmas cards done.

I don't do cards, not only have I never sent them but I toss them the second I read them. I just can't have the clutter, there's already too much of it with Christmas.

Hubby and I send out picture cards, even though we're old and there are no children in our house. I just love getting picture cards from everyone else, so I figure they'll like getting a picture card from me. I get them with our name already stamped on it, so no signing, and I have my addresses set up on my computer to print labels, so no writing addresses. Quick and easy!

Me too. I don't feel it at all. But I do love the cards I won from you last year, which is why I sent them last year!

I'm still waffling on whether to do cards this year or not. I bought the stamps over amonth ago, but am soooo behind on everything and life is going by too quickly. I might send one or two. Bah. Humbug. If I can find those stamps, maybe I'll go ahead and address some. We'll see. xx

I think I am on year 4 of not sending them out. I do send out an email with pics and as a special bonus I post a bunch of ugly photos of my family. It takes a lot of stress off the Christmas season and saves much dinero. Let it go sister. Let it go.

No cards here either...just too overwhelming! We did the jibjab thing and everyone is loving it so far!

I have only received three this year. Actual photo cards, but I have received 11 thru emails...

I always do a card. This, however, is the first year I sent them out in a timely manner. Go me!
