It's My Party.....

and I will cancel it if I want to. My birthday that is.

Those that know me {really know me}, know how excited I tend to get about my birthday. It's one of those sacred things. I revel in being able to celebrate life. My life.

Those that know me {really know me}, also know that if you truly want to cut me to the core, you damage my spirit on my day. My celebration of life. My birthday.

Having spent my last {3} birthdays, in tears {full on, sobbing, sucking air, your heart hurts tears}, I've decided to cancel my birthday this year..

Yup, you read that correctly.

Because a girl shouldn't have to spend her birthday in tears. Those that seek to put a damper on things...well, won't they feel foolish {and their efforts be in vain} when they come at me on my birthday.

Edited to Include:
*My birthday isn't until later in the month. So there is hope for a better year, right!?! Because really, who wants to spend their 30th doing the ugly cry?

I don't blame you but I want for you to have a special and wonderful one!

Oh canceling sounds understandable...but what about the luck of three? Three bad things, so now it has past? Wishing you a peaceful, wonderful stress free day! Hugs.

Ah! that sounds like a swell idea! Last year my birthday was fine. We were rushed through dinner with my mom texting 20 minutes after we left asking when we'd be home, then texting every 15 minutes after that asking where we were. We ate as fast as possible and sped home. We got away for about an hour and 20 minutes. The two years before my birthday was shoved aside as "not important". No gift was given, no fun date...nothing. I spent those years crying in the bathroom. This year,I feel very indifferent. I've never been one to celebrate my birthday-I've always felt really weird putting all the attention on myself.

I like your thinking though...I think I might cancel mine as well :)

I say go for it because you cancel it and it's going to be awesome just because you did it. That's my random way of thinking. :)

I didn't cry on my 30th. It was the 36th. It was an ugly, awful day!
Sorry the last three were so traumatic...

Wanna come down my way and go to a lovely little place called The Chocolate? We don't have to say it's for your birthday...it could be a "just because" that happens to be on your birthday. ;)

I say you come and visit me for your birthday. We'll have tons of fun laughing!

I'll meet you and Jessica at The Chocolate.
It sounds like a happy place!
