New Car=New Payments!
>> Monday, March 1, 2010
There's nothing like a New Car Lot to make you want a new car.
I dragged my limping car into the dealership late last week {okay, it wasn't really limping, but it should have been considering how over due it was for an oil change}.
I always feel self conscious driving onto a car lot. All those shiny {new} cars. I can literally feel my car hanging it's front bumper in shame, with its dirty windshield and sticky floor mats. When it's me, that should be hanging her head in shame as I eye all those cool new cars, wanting one, thinking of ways to give up the one I'm in.
Alas, it only takes traveling about 4 blocks {in either direction} away from the dealership and 2 stop lights to remember how lucky I am to have the car I'm in. After-all, those shiny cars come with payments that I don't have.

ooo I need to get an oil change. Thanks for the reminder haha.
We have a car payment again for the first time in years. It bites.
We just got to up our carpayment after Adam's transmission died. It was either pay $3000 for a new one, or get a newer car. We chose the latter. It sucks.
I know exactly what you mean!!!! I don't miss the car payments at all! I'll gladly drive my little crapper!
We always try to avoid the car lots. Just can't afford them!
Please please avoid the dealership. Check my latest blog post for the reason.
Yah as much as I dont love my older model cars I'm so happy to not have payments on one and to almost be done on the other. I'd rather just have my reliable, decent car then be stuck with another nasty bill.
Yep, we hate having car payments but we needed a new car for our growing family. Sigh.
I'm hanging on. Thanks for your e-mail. I have really needed to disappear for a bit to figure some stuff out. I'm not coming back yet either; I just wanted you to know that I am thinking about you.
