I'm Back, Kinda, Sorta, in a Round about Way

>>  Tuesday, March 24, 2009

I am returning slowly from my blogcation. If you can even really call it that. My scheduled posts continued to publish, and I made an occasional appearance in a comment box or two.

I discovered something great while taking my little break. I liked it. I had an entire conversation with my three year old the other day. I learned a lot. A conversation I wouldn't have had, if I had been sitting at the computer.

In light of my new found likes, I have taken things down a notch. I am officially down to 2.5 blogs. I'm holding out on the .5 blog. But it is slotted for immediate disposal within the next few weeks.

As I look to my future, I can see some life changing experiences on my horizon. At this point, I am hoping for the best, but hunkering down and preparing for the worst. As I ease my way back to my blogging ways, some may continue to see an absence. I'm still here. That won't change. For the time being, I will do things a little more quietly.

You have to do what is best for you and your family--they come first.

I didn't even realize those were scheduled posts! I was in a creative funk last week, and I'm taking a full blog break this weekend, when I'm in Vegas, and sometimes, you just have to.

i totally understand... especially with little ones at home.

You have been a little quiet lately. I'm glad you are figuring things out blog-wise. I need to get some things figured out myself.

I'm coming to this point as well. Just don't go away completely.

I know exactly what you mean. I have an advantage because I don't have kids at home but when hubby's off, the computer is a distant memory.

Totally understandable....I blog irregularly and comment as often as possible and I still can't keep up. Priorities.....that is what life is all about. Family and friends must have their time....Important people first and while fellow bloggers are right up there....let's face it...we aren't in the same category.

I did the same thing recently, by getting rid of my graphics blog. Less work is great!

Kathy 24 March, 2009 18:06

Good for you! I took a little vacation that started as a weekend and turned into a month...oops!

Jo 24 March, 2009 18:37

You do what you need to do! As long as you are blogging some, please? Or at least don't dump your bloggy friends, now friends in real life.

You know what's best for you, Girl. Just be sure to stick your head back in now and then.

I have way to much going on with 7 kids a full time job and my church calling. I blog when I can, but I don't stress about it. Family time is way more important. Although I do love my blog friends too!!

Found your blog while blogging around. Just wanted to say hi. :)

Dawn Parsons Smith 25 March, 2009 05:46

I'm with ya' sister! I think it's a bit of a blessing that I have to watch my minutes!

Donna 26 March, 2009 10:46

It's good you're getting things figured out. I've gone through the same thing with blogging and I'm still trying to figure it out, especially once I have a new baby and will have even less time for it. As fun as it is, it can be so hard to fit it in. I really hope you won't entirely disappear however...I'd really miss you.
