Just Shut Up and Drive
>> Tuesday, February 10, 2009
You probably are guessing this post to be about my inner road-rage AND You are probably also wondering what herds of Elk have to do with my road-rage. The answer to that...nothing. Why? Because this post isn't about road-rage. It is, however about the Elk.
The dilemma at my house has been 'what to do'? Where do we eat (the dining room table is still in the basement, and the couches are still in the dining room). What do we do? There is nothing but bare plywood floors. What did we do? We drove. And we drove. And we drove. Until we couldn't drive anymore.
Where did we end up? Hardware Ranch. I can't remember the last time I was there. Okay, lets be honest, I can remember....it was just so very long ago.
I'm not sure my boys were as interested in the grazing Elk as they were in the however many tons of Clydesdale horses (Justice and Little-Foot...clearly Little-Foot was a play on words, because little doesn't quite describe him) that were pulling our sled. Unfortunately, I don't have the pictures to prove it, not of the horses anyways.
**Update**
For those curious as to what Hardware Ranch is, I've provided a link.
There were approximately 540 Elk in the Meadow this particular day
17 Pepsi Points :

I hope you brought a magazine along. I'd sit in the car and read while the guys did their "thang". You're a good sport...Heck, you're a SAINT!
Hardware Ranch is way out in the middle of nowhere! But I have been a couple of times. How fun.
That is so cool! For whatever reason I love giant herds of animals.
