Will The Real Slim Shady Please Stand UP!

I recently read a POST from a Fellow Blogger. The topic of the post addressed how people see you through your blog versus how people see you in real life, and the question was asked "Are YOU who you are on your blog, in real life?"

I thought this to be an interesting and thought provoking question. Am I the same face to face as you see and hear me through my blog? I would like to think that I am the same person, but I honestly don't know. There are at least two people in my life (you know who you are) that have commented that when reading my blog "you get glimpses of the Danielle we all know and love". Which continues to leave me bewildered. Does that mean I am fake and phony in real life? Or are you telling me that I don't let my little light shine either in person or through my blog..but that every now and then you can see a little sliver of light leaking under the door?

It's no secret that as a whole, people have a tendency to misunderstand me. In person, people confuse my quiet and reserved nature as cold and uncaring. I think its a given that those that see me everyday have seen the majority of the good AND bad. The rusty spiked wrecking ball than can be my mood swings is unpredictable and my temper short. All the while I over think, over feel, and over express EVERYTHING, and bruise easily.

So you..my loyal readers..you tell me, am I the same face to face as what you see through my blog? If not, who do you see in my blog versus in person? For that matter, who am I, according to the worlds view of me? (I obviously don't know)

For those of you that know me only through my blog, what are your perceptions of me (given what little information you do have)? No need for flattery, be honest. I am looking for the brutal truth here.

I look forward to hearing what everyone has to say...

This is a good topic and one that I wonder about too as I've gotten more into blogging lately. I only just recently met you through your blog, and the reason why I wanted to become blog buddies is you seemed smart and had an interesting way of looking at things. You're funny and you have a unique sense of humor. You're nice too, not a meanie. If you're reserved, that's not a bad thing. Okay, I guess that's enough personality analysis for now. I feel like a shrink!

You come across as warm and funny on your blog.

I'm a little nervous about the meet and greet, frankly, as I hope people don't expect me to be hilarious constantly. I'm like Sue, in that I do tend to be more reserved around strangers, but if I know you, I'm very much like my blog. Obnoxious. :)

The true Danielle is very complicated. Your blog seems to allow you a safer (not safe) venue to share the wonderful human I love so dearly. Not just a wife, mother, daughter or friend, but the true person you really are.-Bugs
