True Devotion

They say that the way to a mans heart is through his stomach, and that diamonds are a girls best friend. Well my friend, that may ring true for some of you. But not me. If you want my undying affection and my true devotion, I expect you to shower me with one of these.
I know you are thinking..."A Pen...she really is weird". My response to that, we have already established that. AND this is no ordinary pen. This devotion to elegant writing instruments started with a gift that mirrored this little beauty. Enter the Cross Pen. Not just any ordinary pen, but a fine tuned instrument of speed and aerodynamics. This unfortunately is not the original one received, as that one was swiped from work desk, years ago. *To the thief, I hope you are enjoying your new pen with my name embossed in gold letters on it. And may you feel shame, my father bought that for me*. I carried this beauties predecessor, the original, through my entire school career, beginning as a freshman. That pen has taken many a tests, written many a notes to
friends, and filled out all sorts of applications over the years. My next love was yet another Cross. Blue marble with gold accents. Followed by the Waterman. Who would have thought that there is something beyond your traditional Bic pen and promotional clicker pens. Its like driving a BMW or a Lexus vs a Ford Focus or a Geo Metro. Not that there is anything wrong with your average Ford or Chevy. But when you can take first class, don't go coach baby!
My latest obsession -hand crafted red marble with a Cross refill. This is a one of a kind, handmade pen, which I probably paid a little too much for. But I couldn't resist. I was smitten. Ain't she a beauty? I think so!
4 Pepsi Points :
I'm very specific about pens. I only have a couple at work that I will use. It doesn't have to be the exact same pen, as long it's the particular type of pen.
Sorry about your pen thief.
ahhhhhh, the cross pen. no match- anywhere!
Finally someone that appreciates a good pen!
and to think- it all started with a quarter for a pencil. 25 cents supplied with love
