A Purse Affair
>> Thursday, August 14, 2008
So, I've given it some thought and I think I have figured out my addiction to purses. (I know, you envy me..I'm such a deep thinker. But this is a very serious matter. A matter in which I'm sure, at times, my husband wishes I would seek help for)
After spending almost 2 hours in and out of a dressing room, it occured to me the reason I am so addicted to purses is because you don't have to try them on. They know no sizes, it doesn't matter if the color or pattern doesn't suit my skin tone, and most importantly.......you don't have to take it to a dressing room to try one on, only to be met with the disappointment of a bad fit.
I think this theory could also be applied to a shoe addiction. Although there are sizes, for most of us, our shoes sizes never change and only vary half a size in either direction depending on the brand. So, there ya have it ladies..and gentlemen, a logical explanation. For the sake of our sanity and the well being of our self-image, let us buy our purses and shoes in peace. Blessed be the purse and shoe makers!

I had a purse addiction about a year ago, and I have slowly weaned myself off. Shoes are still a major weakness.
My boss is kind of odd, but she grabbed my bad today, and said, "Where did you get this?!?!? I love it!" It was $30 a Penney's.
