It's Flashback FridayToday we are flashing back almost 3 years...
Dubbed as the "Chubby Cheeker" (for obvious reasons), this is one of the first pictures taken of Little M at less than 2 days old. At 4 weeks early, Mason spent the first 24 hours of his life in the NICU, as he struggled with the concept of breathing (not that I can blame him, I had just spent 8 months doing it for him.) Because of his fragile state, an IV was placed in his hand. Naturally he protested by tugging at it with his free hand. For this reason you will notice the cast-like wrap covering his left arm. The wrap is actually a splint fashioned out of a burp-cloth and medical tape, which protected him from pulling out his IV. .....Oh, the memories!
